Walsh University, North Canton, Ohio invites applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Counselor Education to begin January 2018.
Responsibilities: teaching 6 courses over 9-month contract year; participation in Counseling & Human Development Assessment (CHD); student development and advising programs; curriculum review and development; and other faculty assignments. Maintain active scholarship agenda and research plan. Maintain licenses and certifications appropriate to areas of clinical practice. Provide service to the university and to the profession of counseling.

Requirements: Ph.D. in Counselor Education & Supervision (required). Must hold LPCC-S license in Ohio or be eligible for this license. At least 3-5 years of licensed clinical practice experience in community mental health settings. Strongly prefer graduate teaching and clinical experience in addiction counseling and license eligibility for LICDC-CS in Ohio.

CHD graduate students work alongside faculty, conducting trainings focused on basic counseling skills, crisis intervention, self-care and trauma as a part of a Cross-Cultural Counseling elective course.
