For nearly 40 years, Hospice of the Chesapeake has served the region surrounding beautiful Annapolis, MD offering in addition to the core hospice services, 2 hospice care centers, a vibrant Life Care Center and a Palliative Care operation.
The Chief Operating Officer provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the organization has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength, high quality care and operating efficiencies.
RN with Bachelors degree in nursing or healthcare required, Masters degree preferred
Five or more years of progressive management experience of a hospital, hospice, or other medical facility, preferably with experience in leading, organizing and managing major projects, clinical and business services and functions.
Hospice management experience preferred
Demonstrated knowledge and skills in leadership, fiscal responsibility and quality and compliance
Ability to use independent judgment, works effectively with little direction
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills required
Knowledge of hospice or/and Home health regulations preferred
Excellent interpersonal and writing skills
Works well under stress with deadlines
Ability to handle a variety of complex projects simultaneously
