Statewide Mental Health Director Plans and assists to develop and implement related policies and procedures. Assists to plan, organize, direct and coordinate the delivery of health services. Monitors and evaluates healthcare programs. Directs subordinate managers and staff.
Minimum Qualification: Doctorate degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND demonstrated experience in prison/jail environment. Five years of management/supervisory experience in prison/jail environment.
Required Qualification: 1. Doctorate level in psychology or psychiatry. 2. Licensed in the state Georgia in psychology or psychiatry. 3. Five Years of field experience as a Correction Clinician. 4. Five years of experience in mental health administration. 5. Working knowledge of Corrections mental health standards. 6. Experience in mental health litigation. 7. Knowledge of American Correctional Association Accreditation.
