The Department of Psychology of Dyson College of Arts and Sciences at Pace University invites applications for an anticipated full – time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor (tenure track) in the mental health-counseling program to begin September 2018. The position is located on the University’s Pleasantville, New York campus, which is about 40 miles north of Manhattan.
Applicants must have an earned PhD in counselor education or mental health counseling. Doctorates from a CACREP-accredited program will be preferred. Preference will be given to candidates who are licensed as LMHC (or LPC) and are eligible for such in New York State. The candidate should be involved in ACA and/or regional associations in the field of counseling and counselor education.
The successful candidate will teach graduate-level courses in the counseling program, advise students, and conduct limited research in counseling psychology, counseling processes, and counselor training . A demonstrated commitment to student-centered learning and excellence in both teaching and research is required. They should be able to integrate their scholarship into the teaching, and service efforts of the counseling program and to collaborate with the department’s faculty.
