We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced neonatal nurse practitioner to join our team of 15 neonatologists and five neonatal nurse practitioners at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies in Orlando, Florida.
This well-established and respected practice cares for about 1,500 babies annually in our state-of-the-art, 142-bed NICU.
Our sister hospital, Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children provides the NICU with extensive pediatric and surgical subspecialty services.
Our NICU is supported by RN/RT teams for the delivery room and transports and PICC lines are managed by a team of RNs.
Winnie Palmer's High Risk Department of Obstetrics attracts a variety of fascinating fetal and neonatal cases and includes a Women's Intensive Care Unit.
At the forefront of our practice is solid leadership, excellence in every aspect of our work and a genuine desire to take great care of the patient.
The NNP will have abundant opportunities to participate in education, research and clinical development programs.
Our neonatologists provide in-house coverage 24/7 and the NNPs take an active role in providing Level-III NICU support. Daytime coverage includes six neonatologists, who see their service and share training of the resident physicians. The nurse practitioners share day and night coverage, working three 12-hr shifts per week and every other weekend. NNP coverage areas will include an NNP service of patients, coverage of a 50+ bed Level-II NICU where the nurse practitioner manages on-call problems, and seeing a select group of patients. The neonatologists share with the NNPs attendance at high risk deliveries, admissions and stabilization of sick neonates. The nurse practitioner service provides consultation services for hospitalized high-risk antepartal patients.
