The Canyon at Encino is seeking a dynamic and talented Primary Therapist.
The Canyon at Encino is a center for recovery and healing. In addition to traditional recovery services, we provide a supportive environment where patients can drop in to work on life skills and seek support wherever they are in their recovery. Our unique treatment approach engages the whole person in the healing process and encourages loved ones to be involved in treatment in order to build a solid foundation for lasting recovery.
The Primary Therapist is responsible for all aspects of client care and therapy in Outpatient Services. The ideal candidate will be someone with experience working with co-occurring diagnoses. We are looking for someone with the ability to consistently demonstrate through conduct and communications the stability required to effectively assist patients and their family members through the RN Model of Treatment. Our therapists are passionate about recovery and their work reflects that passion. We are a team with a common goal: "creating lifetime relationships for long term recovery." This position is located in Encino, CA.
Key Responsibilities include:
Conducts individual and group therapy sessions with Intensive Outpatient Program IOP clients.
Responsible for updating referents.
Administers and evaluates urine analysis.
Participates in weekly staff meetings regarding each client and gives recommendations.
Conducts aftercare groups once per week at the IOP.
Performs all other duties as required or assigned.
