Havenwyck Hospital is a 243 bed, Joint Commission accredited and licensed psychiatric and substance abuse facility. We specializing in providing behavioral health and substance abuse treatment and are located in Auburn Hills overlooking Lake Galloway.
Havenwyck Hospital provides a continuum of individualized treatment to children, adolescents and adults needing psychiatric and/or substance abuse treatment. Havenwyck strives to create a customized treatment plan for each individual based on level of maturity, life experiences, needs and other factors. Patients at Havenwyck are treated by a qualified multi-disciplinary team, including, but not limited to, a psychiatrist, registered nurses, social workers and recreational therapists, in a warm, supportive environment. Havenwyck Hospital's Residential Treatment Center is a secure treatment program for children and adolescents ages 8 to 17, with emotional and/or behavioral impairments that require them to be in a secure, 24-hour supervised therapeutic living situation. Havenwyck Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Housekeeper to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals.
Key Responsibilities include:
Cleans and services nursing units, patient rooms, baths, bathrooms, and business offices.
Cleans and mops floors.
Dusts furniture and equipment.
Cleans windows and window sills.
Empties trash baskets and arranges furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion.
Cleans bathtubs, showers, sinks, mirrors, toilets, and other similar equipment.
Replenishes supplies of soap and paper towel.
Keeps utility storage rooms in good order.
Uses necessary equipment and supplies in proper manner to accomplish job tasks.
Receives and carries out verbal and written instructions.
Detects unclean areas and takes necessary action to insure that the Hospital cleaning standards are met.
Exercises initiative and judgment in maintaining assigned area in a clean and orderly condition.
Prepares soiled linen for pick up by contract laundry.
Restocks clean linen from contract laundry and transports linen to units following procedures for handling and storage of clean linen.
Provides assistance in disinfection of areas where blood and body fluid spills have occurred, when appropriate.
Reports non-adherence to policies for handling of hazardous waste or contaminated linen.
Attends hospital mandatory training/in-services as required in a timely manner.
Follows hospital expectations regarding Time and Attendance.
