Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center is a Joint Commission approved and state licensed facility for 88 beds, which includes pediatric units, adolescent girls, adolescent boys, and MISA (Mental Illness Substance Abuse) unit. We are committed to providing youth with compassionate treatment that encourages self-responsibility and personal growth. Lincoln Prairie provides treatment to children and adolescents (ages 3-17) that present with a broad range of psychiatric and behavioral disorders. Lincoln Prairie offers an array of outpatient programs. We provide educational programs, enhanced Occupational Therapy services, Recreational Therapy, Art and Music Therapy, while utilizing a holistic treatment approach.
We are seeking an Group Therapist to support Lincoln Prairie's mission. The Group Therapist executes the inpatient treatment program and completes the assigned client care responsibilities in accordance with the philosophy, goals and standards of the facility and level of care requirements. This position is paid per group completed.
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
Identify treatment plan impairments based on assessment findings.
Provide age appropriate (child/adolescent) clinical interventions (individual, family, group therapy) to patients as determined by assessment.
Attend patient staffing for patients in their caseload.
Document in client medical record following each treatment intervention.
Assist in the discharge planning process for each assigned patient.
Case management of caseload and communication with all sources to ensure quality of care.
Coordinate client staffing and communicates with team on treatment issues.
Initiate milieu structure within program.
Develop age appropriate interventions and special programs for specialized patient populations.
