The Expressive Arts Therapist performs duties and responsibilities as required as a member of the treatment team in delivering direct patient care services.Â Â Under the direction of the Clinical Manager and Unit Medical Director, through the medium of group and individual interventions, creates a therapeutic milieu on the inpatient service; plans and coordinates the implementation of specific treatment programs for individual patients and patient groups; assures the application of age-appropriate expressive therapies modalities to group or individual treatment; identifies and utilizes specific theoretical framework to guide and integrate care within the milieu; organizes and coordinates or directs unit-based psychotherapeutic services delivered in a group (milieu) context; contributes to the development andÂ implementation of treatment plans & goals as determined byÂ the unit team; functions as a member of the Clinical Services team.Â Participates in the support of patient care through indirect care functions including clerical duties; participates in Performance Improvement and inservice education; oversees the coordination and conduct of clinical affiliations for expressive therapies students; supports development, customer service and community relations activities.
