Stonington Institute is committed to providing quality substance abuse treatment options for adultsÂ in Southeastern Connecticut and surrounding areas.Â We offerÂ medical detox asÂ well as residential addictions treatment for active duty and retired military service members in our North Stonington location.Â Our clinic in Groton, CT, offers partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment, and is conveniently located across the street from The Inn at Trails Corner, a new 180 bed dormitory-style sober community for adult men and women who attend our outpatient day treatment programs. The Inn offers overnight accommodations, full-meal service, indoor/outdoor recreation options, a workout room, and computer center for all clients.

The Clinician is responsible for facilitating psycho-educational and psychotherapy groups as scheduled in the Residential treatment program and assisting in developing the curriculum for the Residential program, based on program needs.Â In addition, the Clinician assists in the provision of case management services to clients in the program, as needed and appropriate.Â Â
The Clinician exercises judgment, leadership, and teaching ability in the field of alcoholism and drug abuse, behavioral, mental health and trauma while interacting with all members of the health care system serving this client population.
