Willow Springs Center has an immediate opening for a Recreational Therapist Supervisor.Â
The Recreational Therapist Supervisor oversees the operational functions of the recreational therapy department.Â This position develops, implements, and oversees recreation services and programs.Â This position develops recreational and leisure activity resources and ensure the coordination of activities, equipment and resources for programs.

Supervise all recreation staff.
Trains and monitors staff.
Conducts disciplinary actions as warranted.
Promotes team building.
Develops, implements, and oversees recreation services and programs.
Creates effective treatment plans for patients based on findings in assessment.
Develops individualized, measurable treatment plan objectives based on information gathered in the A.T. assessment.
Updates and revises plan objectives per department protocol.
Coordinate information with other Specialized Services staff to establish consistency among activity providers.
Develops and implements activities to increase social, cognitive, physical and creative aspects of the patient.
Provides direction, education and in-service to other program personnel regarding therapeutic activities.
Manages therapeutic space, supplies, and equipment ensuring cleanliness, orderliness and safety.
Provides quality customer service when dealing with patients/families, other team members, physicians, co-workers, and other departments.
Creates a positive environment by managing unpredictable situations.
Designs groups that meet individual needs based on treatment plans; integrates individualized needs with the larger community programming.
Ensures that activities are age-specific and address the specific therapeutic requirements of the patients.
Facilitates and/or co-facilitates therapeutic recreation activities, psycho-educational groups and one to one interventions.
Relates to patients in a respectful, professional and ethical manner.
Develops policies utilizing innovative rehabilitation and therapeutic recreational group process techniques to improve performance outcomes for clients.
Conducts all groups in accordance with pre-approved policies and procedures.
May become required to achieve certification in the Ropes Course Programming.Would be expected to maintain certification through continuing education.
