The Counseling and Human Relations program at Husson University is seeking a full time core ranked faculty member for our graduate programs to begin in the fall of 2019. This is a full time position in the Counseling and Human Relations graduate program located in Bangor, Maine.
Responsibilities include teaching graduate courses in our CACREP accredited master's degree programs (Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling). Core courses also include students in our Human Relations program. The successful candidate will serve a nine-month renewable contract, eligible for multi-year contract. Primary responsibilities include teaching a graduate load (nine credits per semester) with options to teach during summer sessions as well. The successful candidate may teach and/or supervise practicum students and teach internship as part of the teaching load. Responsibilities also includes advising students in the programs and engaging in service and scholarship activities following the Boyer model.
Earned doctorate in Counselor Education, preferably from a CACREP-accredited program, OR a doctorate in a closely related field and employed as a full-time faculty member in a counselor education program for a minimum of one academic year prior to July 1, 2013. Preferred Qualifications: Evidence of excellence in teaching in counselor education Experience teaching practicum and internship Experience in running a counseling clinic Evidence of leadership Licensed or license eligible in clinical counseling. School counseling experience also a plus Training and experience in supervision Familiarity with accreditation standards (CACREP) and assessment practices
