The Pride Institute is the nation's first and leading provider of residential and outpatient treatment programs exclusively treating substance abuse and mental health needs of the LGBTQ+ community. We have been providing our clients a comfortable, safe alternative to traditional treatment programs for over 30 years. Pride Staff are a talented, diverse, compassionate, and dedicated group. Some of us are part of the community and some of us are allies. Some of us are in recovery and some of us have only witnessed the devastation caused by addiction. Some of us came to Pride with limited knowledge of the unique challenges experienced by our clients and some of us have personally faced those challenges. We are always learning from each other and from our clients. We are currently seeking a fulltime Primary Counselor to work with us and our clients in our Eden Prairie, MN residential program. The basic schedule for this position will be Monday through Friday, starting at 8:00 or 8:30 a.m. except on Tuesdays and Thursdays, when the start time would be 9:30 a.m. in order to facilitate evening groups until 7:00 p.m. This position is considered full-time and benefits-eligible. Reporting to our Director of Clinical Services, our Counselors provide on-going assessments, treatment planning, progress reviews, and continuing care planning. They deliver engaging, culturally responsive, person-centered individual/group counseling sessions involving recovery education. The Pride Institute offers a generous time off policy, health, dental, vision, life and other supplemental policies, as well as a 401k match and a stock purchase program from our parent company Universal Health Services (UHS).
