Great opportunity for an experienced neonatologist in the Rockville, Maryland area! Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an experienced neonatologist to serve as Associate Medical Director for our well-established, multi-site practice located in Rockville, Maryland. The physician will primarily serve at Shady Grove Medical Center, with additional oversight of three Level-II NICUs at Washington Adventist Hospital, Meritus Medical Center and Western Maryland Regional Medical Center. Ideal candidates must: - Be a board-certified neonatologist with a minimum of 2 years neonatology experience in a busy Level-III NICU
- Desire to be mentored into the role of medical director
- Demonstrate ability in developing and implementing clinical and quality improvement programs

Practice provides 24-hour in-house coverage of the NICU and newborn nursery -
Level-III, 38-bed NICU averages 600 admissions annually with an average daily census of 28 neonates and 15-30 babies in the newborn nursery -
5,000 deliveries each year at the hospital -
24-hour in-house coverage and services offered include bubble CPAP, conventional and high-frequency ventilation, whole body cooling, iNO, and PDA ligation -
The hospital provides a wide variety of on-site subspecialty support including maternal-fetal medicine and pediatric surgery -
Practice is heavily invested in quality and safety initiatives, and is enrolled in the Vermont Oxford Network and Maryland State Perinatal and Neonatal Collaboratives
