Medical Genetics - Opportunity for Metabolic or Molecular Specialization

Our Lady of the Lake Physician Group is expanding services and seeking to employ an additional B/C or B/E Medical Geneticist to serve pediatric and adult genetics patients in Louisiana. Due to our network of hospitals, internal growth and state-wide need, this Medical Genetics opportunity offers the potential for Metabolic and/or Molecular specialization.

Our team of genetic counselors, medical geneticist and FNP serves patients and their families from all regions of Louisiana. In Baton Rouge alone, the Children's Hospital, Woman’s Hospital, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center and Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center have experienced substantial growth.

Children's Hospital

Woman's Hospital

The Woman’s Hospital was one of the first women’s specialty hospitals in the nation. It is one of the largest in the United States. Opened in November 1968, Woman’s is a private, nonprofit organization that is consistently recognized for its care of women and infants.

Woman’s performs over 8,000 deliveries, 7,600 surgeries and 45,000 breast procedures and reads more than 55,000 Pap screens annually. It is the largest delivery service in Louisiana.

Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center

Mary Bird Perkins recently experienced a $23 million Cancer Center renovation and expansion project. The Cancer Center offers a dedicated 14,000-square-feet infusion suite, the largest in the Gulf Coast region, which includes three private infusion rooms, 52 semi-private infusion bays with 100% oncology certified nurses on staff, an oral dispensary and full pharmacy.
