Research Projects Coordinator - VICTR
Job Summary
In your pivotal role as a Research Projects Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing support for complex qualitative and quantitative research projects in health, public health, health policy, health services research or related disciplines under some guidance. Your activities include study coordination, literature searches, data collection, data analysis, and report preparation. You will help provide general support to departmental programs, projects and coordinates dissemination of information. This position integrates policy with research by assisting with monitoring and reviewing both the research and policy landscapes and providing support on course corrections for either or both, if/when necessary.
Performance Elements
- Prepares materials and drafts sections of presentations and written documents
- Assists in writing progress reports.
- Prepares materials for presentations.
- Organizes and formats data for presentations, publications, and internal use.
- Creates charts, graphs, and tables to summarize analysis results.
- Drafts sections of research proposals.
- Drafts Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Contributes to peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts.
- Implements data collection and inquiry
- Reviews study files and assists in producing queries for network sites.
- Collects, organizes, and critically analyzes data based on study goals.
- Compiles data and prepares flow charts and Excel worksheets to update and represent research progress.
- Archives study specific regulatory documentation and correspondence.
- Responsible for managing small to medium datasets.
- Assists in coordinating development of datasets, data cleaning, data validation, and data reporting.

- Supports investigators and senior research staff on multiple studies.
- Prepares and executes portions of research projects.
- Works closely with the department director project managers and/or principal investigators to coordinate research project activities, timelines, and events.
- Maintains documentation as needed for projects and programs.
- Uses internal and external resources to supplement, organize, and contribute to tasks.
- Fosters collaboration between team members, both internal and external to the department.
- May coordinate focus groups or other qualitative data collection.
- Applies basic social science qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Maintains detailed documentation of data management.
- Uses familiarity with federal and/or state healthcare measures and policy to conduct study-specific literature reviews and searches.
