SR. SCIENTIFIC PROJECT MANAGER- All of Us Research Program
JOB SUMARRY:
In your pivotal role as a Sr. Scientific Project Manager at the Vanderbilt Institute for Clinical and Translational Research, you will be leading key operating functions related to the All of Us Research Program. The All of Us Research program is a historic, national effort aimed at accelerating health research and precision medicine. As part of the All of Us team at the Vanderbilt Institute for Clinical and Translational Research, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, support of researcher-facing scientific outreach initiatives . As such, you will also interface and collaborate extensively with a broad network of researchers from the biomedical sciences. Work elements will involve identifying, building, and managing relationships with key opinion leaders and internal business partners, development and implementation of scalable processes for scientific outreach, project development and timeline management, special projects, quality control of deliverables and standardization of processes towards more effective and efficient operations.

KEY PERFORMANCE ELEMENTS
Project Development
- Develop research projects plans, goals and objectives at the direction of the Principal Investigator
- Provide leadership in the execution of day-to-day project activities
- Plan and maintains schedule of projects and timelines
- Develop complex protocols and prepare draft/final study protocols for studies
- Meet budgetary requirements and aims of the grant award
- Assures the proper level of regulatory compliance for each study, preparing quality-related documentations and addressing quality-related findings
- Participate in meetings as required with sponsoring agencies and/or collaborating professionals and vendors
- Open communication as needed with colleagues, leadership, Principal Investigator, collaborating professionals, the Human Research Protection Program, the scientific community and others
Data Collection, Analysis & Evaluation
- Define data collection, evaluation and analysis procedures
- Perform data analysis, data QC, and data interpretation
- Evaluate significance of data and report findings
- Update database(s), or provide information as case may be, on a daily basis
Publications & Presentations
- Review, edit and contribute to various materials for publication
- Assist in manuscript preparation for scientific journals
- Generate SOPs, graphs, slides, protocols, and manuscripts for publication
- Plan and coordinate literature and library searches, as well as data collection programs
- Generate reports for internal use and generate executive level study summaries for leadership as needed
Leadership
- Manage multiple projects at the same time
- May practice unique scientific methods, tests, techniques, etc.
- Maintain tools, computer programs, and SOPs required for studies
- Ensure that regulations and SOPs are followed in all activities.
- May supervise, train and/or mentor staff
- Provide leadership through effective goal setting, delegation, hands-on involvement and communication
- Participate in presentations at scientific conferences, steering committee meetings, or other scientific meetings as needed by the Principal Investigator and project
- Serve as key personnel on grants when appropriate
- May contribute to intellectual property development and patent prosecution
