Description
Your Role: The Certified Anesthesia Technician o perates the institutional Point of Care Testing monitors, the institution's cell salvaging systems, as well as operate the Rapid Infusion Systems during trauma and liver transplant procedures, or procedures in which the massive transfusion protocol is initiated with minimal guidance. The Certified Anesthesia Technician r ecognizes a difficult airway, anticipates and provides necessary supplies and equipment. Prepares and operates Rapid Infusion System for processing delivery of blood products during surgical procedures and trauma.

Additional KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Demonstrates a working knowledge in the use and operation of point of care instrumentation and documentation.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge in the use and operation of cell salvage equipment.
- Possesses an understanding of pharmacology, anatomy and physiology as it applies to anesthesia care.
- Participates in providing multi-disciplinary support services that may include but not be limited to liver transplant services, pain management services, autotransfusion services.
