- Master of Public Health required and an additional degree in a mental health profession preferred
- A minimum of 7- 12 years’ experience in mental health promotion, prevention, and/or public health, with a specific focus on providing capacity-building training and technical assistance around evidence-based public health program design and implementation for suicide prevention
- Cross-cutting TTA subject matter expertise
- Understanding of messaging and how to develop messages around suicide prevention and other related public health issues
- Experience providing TTA on a variety of topics, including developing and implementing programs that meet the unique needs of specific populations, including Service members, veterans and their families; LGBTQ2S youth; and American Indian/Alaska Natives
- Demonstrated connections with national suicide prevention networks
- Experience working with federal clients such as Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
- Prior experience in non-profit, philanthropic, university, or mission-driven environment.
- A strong business development acumen
Candidates hired for the position might initially start working remotely but will ultimately have the option to work remotely or from one of AIR’s office locations in the following metro areas: Washington, DC, North Bethesda/Rockville, Chicago, Boston, Oakland or Austin (TX).
