Your Role :
The Clinical Staff Leader (CSL), Acute Dialysis Unit, is a direct supervisory leadership role and a key member of the Nursing leadership team. The Acute Dialysis CSL works under the guidance and direction of the Manager and leads a cohort of approximately 18 staff members and actively participates in overall management of the unit, development of clinical practice, and provision of patient care with accountabilities for implementation and outcomes for people leadership, quality, service, compliance, finance, throughout and scheduling.
The primary focus of the Clinical Staff Leader is to ensure the unit's optimal performance by engaging in effective problem solving for staff, patients and families and to develop/lead the assigned cohort. The CSL provides feedback and coaching to staff members, recognizing them for their contributions while fostering a high-performance cultur
Unit Summary :
The environment on our unit is supportive, with many opportunities for continuous learning and professional growth while caring for patients with varied acuity and diagnoses.
We provide supportive therapies for Adult and Pediatric patients who are being treated for many diagnoses, requiring continuous and intermittent hemodialysis procedures as well as therapeutic apheresis, including therapeutic plasmapheresis, leukapheresis, LDL apheresis, therapeutic red cell exchanges, and platelet depletions. Our patients are unique because of they of their vast diagnoses and varied treatments.
One of the perks of working on the Dialysis Unit is the collaboration within our multi-disciplinary team. Together our team of nurses, providers, management, case managers, and social workers provide each patient the treatment they require.
Our nurses are successful because they have supportive peers who believe in teamwork, continuous learning and applying critical care knowledge during treatments.
We orient new nurses to our unit by providing a progressive orientation that is structured to meet the needs of the learner based on their previous experiences.
Position Shift:
- Full-time, day shift requires 2 12-hour shifts and 2 8-hour shifts with 1 Saturday shift per month
