Position Information:
The Occupational Therapist provides occupational therapy services by evaluating patients, establishing and implementing effective treatment plans with functional treatment goals, providing patient education and exercise/activity programs, constructing appropriate orthotic devices and educating in use of adaptive equipment. Position is responsible for observing, evaluating and documenting the results of treatment interventions and modifying age-appropriate treatment plan accordingly. The primary setting for this position is the 98 bed Rehab Hospital on the Raleigh campus and may be required to cover other areas of the WakeMed Rehab continuum as needed. Populations served include stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, other neurological issues as well as post-surgical orthopedics, multi-trauma and debility for both adult and pediatric populations.
Experience Requirements:
2 Years Clinical - Occupational Therapy Preferred
Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree Occupational Therapy Required - And Master's Degree Occupational Therapy Preferred
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Licensed Occupational Therapist Required - And Maintain Vehicle Operator Insurability Preferred
Hours of Work:
M-FM-F 7:00a- 3:30p, +1 weekend shift monthly
