Overview
Atlantic Health System is seeking a Part-time Residential Aide in the Growth House Dept at Newton Medical Center. Hours would be varied hours between 9-5p and every Sat. and Sun.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Skill teaching, supportive services and direct intervention with adult residents.
- Provides clinicians with reports as required on the residents movements towards or barriers to achieving treatment goals and objectives.
- Report on other issues or problems.
- Oversees residents self administration of medications.
- Maintains necessary records according to regulatory guidelines and personal care records.
- Provide transportation for residents to medical appointments. Assist in household maintenance of the work environment.
- Maintain commitment as a team member to achieve program goals and objectives.
- Other tasks which may be required.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and talk and hear. The employee is required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or general education degree
Certifications:
- Maintains current CPR, AED and First Aide Certification as well as Nurse Safe Training and Fire Training; if do not have upon hire, must obtain within 3 months of employment
Minimum Experience Required:
- 2 years relevant experience Required
