The Mental Health Therapist will provide clinical, substance abuse, mental health, and social services to assigned patients. The Mental Health Therapist will also act as a liaison between the hospital and community service providers and between the patient, family, and the team. The candidate will assist the treatment team in coordination and implementation of the patients' individualized treatment and discharge plan. The Mental Health Therapist will provide therapeutic interventions for patients, individually and in groups.

Experience:

• Experience in mental health or related field, required.

Education:

• Master's Degree in social work (MSW), Mental Health Counseling (MHC), Creative Art Therapist (CAT) or related field from an accredited program, required

Licenses / Certifications:

• NYS Department of Education License or Limited Permit License to practice as an LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or LCAT. Ongoing training in theory, principles, and modalities. Procedure and practice of mental health work and social services. Employee must maintain current licensure and/or required certifications.
