A Physical Therapist is a licensed professional who evaluates, treats and prevents disability, injury, disease or health conditions by using physical, chemical, and mechanical means. They utilize goal directed activities, exercises, or techniques to maximize an individual's functional independence. They perform and interpret tests and measurements to assess pathophysiological, pathomechanical and developmental deficits of human systems to determine treatment and assist in diagnosis and prognosis. They provide supervision to certified Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA).

Education:

• Have received an education, including completion of a master's degree or higher in physical therapy or determined to be equivalent, in accordance with the NYS commissioner's regulations

Experience:

• Previous PT experience preferred

Training/License:

• Licensed and registered to practice in New York State or eligible for limited permit

Other:

oCurrent CPR certification.
