Desert Regional Medical Center is a 385 bed acute-care hospital classified as a stroke receiving center and level 2 trauma facility with an innovative , patient centered and evidence-based Rehabilitation Services Department. Our compassionate team provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including acute care rehabilitation, joint replacement & spinal surgery, neurosurgery, ICU, Telemetry, step-down care, skilled nursing, as well as outpatient therapy, hand and lymphedema clinics.
Position Summary
The Marketing Coordinator for Desert Care Network will play an important role in growing awareness of our brand and our commitment to the communities served by our group of three hospitals. This position will assist in implementing marketing activities that support service line brand engagement and creating �the story� of how our hospitals are making a positive impact on the people we serve. The Coordinator will report to the Marketing Manager and have strong day-to-day interactions with the Group Marketing Director and Group Chief Strategy Officer, as well as hospital service line and clinical leaders. This position will help build trusting and collaborative relationships with internal and external teams and astutely represent the hospital in establishing and maintaining effective community engagement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports the implementation and management of day-to-day marketing responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, coordination and management of events, seminars, screenings, hospital-awareness week activities, tours and photography; highlighting and managing the promotion of internal staff members and clinicians for marketing campaign opportunities, social media, etc.
- Participates in the collaboration process with service line and clinical leaders, and Group team members to implement marketing programs that highlight key differentiators based on quality, service and/or outcomes, have measurable ROI and build better hospital/market brands through consistent messaging, differentiated value propositions and brand positioning within the market
- Seeks information and operates at a level of constant inquiry about business priorities and key initiatives that can further differentiate the hospitals within the market. Works to identify and translate the hospital service lines� �stories of success�
- Excels in the use of effective storytelling and utilizes advanced writing skills across multiple platforms (e.g. website, collateral, newsletters, social media) to create engagement within the community, with key internal stakeholders and to entice usage among a targeted consumer base
- Helps to identify key components and proof points that support marketing responder conversions (e.g. local calls to action, sub service line offerings, unique service attributes, positive outcomes, specialized qualifications
- Maintains comprehensive knowledge of hospital-based operations, service lines and physician relations. Participates in the planning, implementation and management of the hospital marketing budget
- Effectively engages with the community and key stakeholders for the purpose of building and enhancing the brand in the market place and translating the vision and mission of the hospital
Qualifications:Qualifications
- Education/Experience
- Bachelor�s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or relevant major is required
- At least 1 year of related experience to the position
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple priorities
- Demonstrated success in utilizing effective storytelling, writing and editing skills
