Summary:

Akron Children's Hospital is seeking a Licensed Massage Therapist specializing in Pediatrics. This opportunity requires a skilled, compassionate professional who enjoys working with children with various medical complexities to provide Massage Therapy Services.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide Massage Therapy Services for Pediatric inpatient and outpatient populations (and occasionally adults)
2. Demonstrate flexibility and creativity in therapeutic treatment for individuals with terminal or chronic illnesses and/or developmental disabilities with the added benefit of reduced opioid use
3. Collaborate with Physician teams to develop individualized care plans for pain, hematology and oncology, rehab, and post-surgical patients, etc.
4. Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age.
5. Other duties as required.
