POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a professional, responsible, and motivated candidate to perform cognitive assessments with research subjects in clinical research trials. The Clinical Research Psychometric Rater will be responsible for the administration and management of psychometric ratings scales related to clinical trials for neurological disorders (i.e., Alzheimer's Disease, Parkinson's Disease, and Depression). The Psychometric Rater follows study-specific protocol guidelines and completes all responsibilities under the direction of the Principal Investigator and Clinical Lead.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Meet with patients, conduct a variety of psychometric rating scales for clinical trials, and
calculate and utilize ratings scale results as appropriate to determine protocol eligibility.
2. Ensure excellent communication regarding ratings issues with the clinical team, sponsor, CRO, monitors, auditors, and/or central ratings groups.
3. Maintain source documentation in accordance with ALCOA-C standards, and complete all monitor and sponsor queries in a timely manner.
4. Calmly and professionally manage conversations with patients who become upset or frustrated during the rating process.
5. Ensure patient safety by responding appropriately to any potential for harm to self or others that is identified through the evaluations performed.
6. Work diligently to maintain consistency in the performance of ratings. Review ratings across studies and subjects to ensure efficacy and consistency.
7. Identify potential problems or inconsistencies and take action as appropriate.
8. Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
1. Master’s degree required – preferably in psychology, mental health, counseling, or related field.
2. Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) preferred.
3. Rater Qualification Certificate preferred.
4. Winter Park site only: Fluency in both Spanish and English required.
Experience
1. One year of experience in psychometry or a field that includes patient assessments (such as psychology), or another relevant role.
2. Knowledge, familiarity, and experience performing a variety of rating scales is preferred. Examples include the ADAS-Cog, ADCS-ADL, CDR, CGI, C-SSRS, FAQ, FCSRT, GDS, MDSUPDRS, MoCA, MMSE, RAVLT, RBANS, SLUMS, WAIS-IV, and WOMAC.
