Physician - Addiction Medicine

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Minnesota is seeking a BC/BE Addiction Medicine Physician to join our Addiction Medicine and Mental Health Service.
M Health Fairview Addiction Medicine service specializes in the diagnosis, prevention, treatment, and recovery of individuals with substance use disorders (SUD). We have a multi-disciplinary and diverse team to serve any/all needs related to substance use and mental health concerns. Position Highlights:
- This is an Academic Track faculty position at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level.
- 0.2 FTE of Academic activities including publications, research and other scholarly duties (meetings, grand rounds…).
- 0.80 clinical FTE will provide care within the MHealth Addiction Medicine and Recovery Clinic.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited ACGME Addiction Medicine training program.
- Board eligible/certified with the ABMS.
- Licensed or ability to obtain medical license and DEA in the State of Minnesota, and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
- Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of VISA category while in the United States.?
Preferred Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate has previous experience and expertise in working with acute psychiatric conditions and management in the delivery of care.
