This position is located within the Research and Development Service at the VA Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona. You will perform professional database development, coordination and technical management in a comprehensive research setting, providing day-to-day data management and site support for the VA Research Program. All applicants must meet the following Basic Education Requirements & Specialized Experience: Basic Education Requirement: Successful completion of a bachelor's degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university in a major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences that is appropriate to the work of this Health Science Specialist - Data Manager. Specialized experience includes applying the knowledge of health care and database management to analyze clinical data and to identify and report trends; collect, analyze and monitor data and reports; identify and resolve a range of clinical administrative issues and problems in a clinical setting; conduct clinical based quantitative and qualitative analytical studies; Interpret clinical data and provide recommendations; familiar with research application submission process.
