Nemours Children's Hospital- Delaware
Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychologist Position Announcement
Nemours Children's Hospital- Delaware is seeking a psychologist with a strong interest in program development to provide trauma-informed care to children and families who have experienced or are at risk for maltreatment, abuse and neglect, and various traumas, including interpersonal trauma and racial stress.
We are seeking candidates with demonstrable training and experience in evidence-based family and individual interventions addressing the above. Our ideal candidate prioritizes diversity and cultural humility that drives their passion in working with youth and their families. We are looking for someone with experience in TF-CBT, PCIT, and other family therapy interventions who also deeply understand systemic barriers that impact minoritized families in receiving these services. These positions will focus on providing consultation and individual and family therapy for families in the larger Delaware Valley community. Additional responsibilities may include outreach, education, collaboration with other professionals, and working with our Child Advocacy Center team. Spanish-speaking candidates are preferred.
Equity, diversity, and inclusion guide our growth and strategy. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about and committed to leading efforts to provide culturally relevant care, reduce health disparities, and help build a diverse and inclusive team environment.
Additionally, these positions will have opportunities to serve as preceptors of our Psychology residents and fellows who rotate through this service. Teaching, training, and mentoring are core values in our division, and these efforts are supported and encouraged. We are committed to expanding the pipeline of a diverse workforce and, as such, are intentional in our hiring and retention practices. We practice continuous learning through awareness-enhancing and bias reduction educational opportunities that guide our overarching health equity lens.
There will also be opportunities for quality improvement and research initiatives. Our division collaborates with our research colleagues in the Nemours Center for Healthcare Delivery Science (https://www.nemours.org/pediatric-research/area/health-care-delivery-science.html). We also offer numerous opportunities to participate in program development, leadership, advocacy, and community outreach. Experience working with Spanish-speaking families is desired.
