Description
VICTR - Associate Research Data Analyst
This is a full-time/exempt term position lasting six months to one year.
JOB SUMMARY
In your pivotal role as an associate research data analyst, you will work with project leads and project managers, and partner with the data quality teams to provide data quality and analytics expertise for healthcare data. Work hands-on with partners at other Healthcare Provider Organizations as well as new data product teams to assess data quality and provide guidance and support for data quality improvements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports research investigators and senior research staff.
Supports collaboration between team members, both internal and external to the department.
Uses statistical and data programming skills to manage and analyze data (e.g., SAS, Stata,R).
Prepares and executes portions of research projects in the areas of health, economics, and social science. Uses external resources to supplement, organize, and contribute to tasks.
Coordinates research project activities, timelines and events.
Uses familiarity with federal and/or state healthcare measures and policy to conduct study-specific literature reviews and searches.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
DATA MANAGEMENT (NOVICE): Interpreting, analyzing and organizing reports and metrics. HEALTH
POLICY DATA ANALYSIS (NOVICE): Identifies, validates, extracts, and formats data for statistical analysis. Able to create, modify, and run queries and produce reports. Familiar with data modeling and understands the relationships between data items.
DATA PROCUREMENT (NOVICE): Seeking, collecting, transforming, and ensuring quality of data.
Additional Information:
This is a term position. A Term position is a staff position that exists for a period longer than six months but is not expected to last beyond one year. Although a position may exist for a specified or indefinite period, staff who accept term positions are not guaranteed employment for the entire period; they are employed for indefinite periods within the limit of the appointment. There are no guarantees of continued employment, either within the term or when the term ends. This position may also have the opportunity to work remotely.

Occasional: Vision: Clarity of near vision at 20 inches or less and far vision at 20 feet or more with depth perception, peripheral vision, color vision.
Frequent: Noise: May include exposure to occupational noise levels which equal or exceed an 8-hr time-weighted average of 85 decibels, requiring enrollment in VUMC's Hearing Conservation Program which includes training, use of hearing protection, and periodic audiometry.
