Position Summary:
This position is responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing occupational therapy services for both in-patients and outpatients referred for Occupational Therapy by a physician. Care is performed according to the Occupational Therapy Practice Act, organization and department policies and procedures. This is a professional-level position operating independently, under limited supervision. Work situations are varied and require initiative, analysis, interpretation of information from a variety of sources, a service-oriented individual, and the use of discretion and good judgment in decision-making. Internal contacts are primarily with coworkers in therapy departments, nursing, and Case Managers. External contacts include patients, families, and physicians outside health care facilities, and other community agencies working with the patient and patient’s family.

Minimum Requirements:
Successful completion of state board Occupational Therapist examination
One year previous experience in occupational therapy preferred

Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Washington
New Graduates - Permitted to practice with Interim Permit in the State of Washington
- Limited Permit is valid until results of the new examination are made public.
- One extension of the permit is granted if the Occupational Therapist has failed examination
