Schedule: Full Time & Part-Time Opportunities

Shift: Clinicâ™s hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 7AM to 7PM; shift is assigned based on business needs (flexibility required)

The role youâ™ll contribute:

Provides direct and indirect services to specific age groups in the outpatient rehabilitation settings. Identifies and resolves issues timely that affect our medical staff and the effective delivery of health care. Utilizes process improvement in achieving the goals of the Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine department. May supervise other Certified Athletic Trainers (ATC), Athletic Training students, volunteers and interns. Adheres to the facility Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies, and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

The value youâ™ll bring to the team:

• Based on the findings and goals established by the physical therapist evaluation, the ATC implements an individualized treatment plan of care utilizing Practice Standards and recommended techniques, insurance guidelines and patientâ™s needs. Modifies treatment plan as appropriate based upon on-going assessments and consultation with the physical therapist. Collects patient data and communicates to physical therapist regarding discharge recommendations when maximum benefit has been achieved and/or according to the standards of practice and payer guidelines
• Documents accurately, completely, and timely, with legible handwriting. Uses measurable and objective terminology, following standards of practice, insurance guidelines and department /hospital policy and procedures
• Utilizes knowledge of growth and development for assigned patient age population.  Evaluates for age-appropriate behavior, motor skills and physiological norms of the patient.  Interprets data relative to patient age.  Modifies approach and communication skills appropriate to the population served, which may include: Pediatric (1 < 12 yrs), Adolescent (12 < 18 yrs), Adult (18 < 65 yrs) and Geriatric (65 + yrs)
• Identifies the need for patient/caregiver or athletic training student education and utilizes each opportunity for teaching on a planned or spontaneous basis
• Willingly adjusts and adapts to changes in patient census by altering working hours to assist in other centers/programs as approved and observed by supervisor

The expertise and experiences youâ™ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training or related field
• Athletic Trainer Certified (ATC)
• Basic Life Support Certified (BLS)

Preferred qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience as an ATC is preferred
