The primary function of the Social Worker is to coordinate the patients care collaboratively across all departments, disciplines and providers. Ensures appropriate resource utilization while providing appropriate and safe discharge planning. The ability to mentor and supervise in terms distinguishes this position from the undergraduate social worker.

The Behavioral Health Therapist delivers therapeutic services in the Child and Adolescent (C&A) Program which includes individual, group, and family therapy services. Provides ongoing crisis management, trauma-informed care, brief case management, biopsychosocial assessments, and individualized treatment planning to encompass an overall quality of care for all patients.

Social Worker (LMSW) Position Requirements 

Education

• Graduate of a master's degree program in social work from a college or university approved by the Council of Social Work.
• Licensure as a Social Worker in the state of MD required.
