The Bradley Center of St. Francis-Emory Healthcare is hiring a Lead Mental Health Technician to work in our growing psychiatric unit.  We are dedicated in our goal to provide our community with the best psychiatric care in the area, and our Mental Health Tech’s have an integral role in making that happen! The Bradley Center has been providing psychiatric and mental health services to our community for over 60 years, and we take pride in being a patient-focused community-based facility.
This Lead Mental Health Technician will help lead a team of Mental Health Tech's in providing excellent patient care. Our Lead MHT will be the liaison between management and staff as well as participate in hands-on care. Some of the main responsibilities include:
Overseeing and assigning other Mental Health Technicians in daily duties and making sure duties are accomplished.
First point of contact with our Director and Managers, providing updates on completed tasks and patient care.
Facilitating and overseeing group therapy sessions with patients and Techs.
Providing input and psychiatric hands-on patient care.
Observe and report information about patient behavior to the medical staff, including mood swings and the wellbeing of their patients.
Listen to patients' concerns, observe their behavior, and record their condition. Lead patients in therapeutic and recreational activities.
Assists in the maintenance of a safe, secure environment that enhances treatment and/or educational effectiveness.
Assists patients with activities of daily living; attends to patient behavioral problems and aids in crisis intervention if needed.
Participates in the development and implementation of patient treatment programs.
Attends and participates in group sessions, in-service education, and staff meetings.

Qualifications
Minimum Experience:
3-5 years' experience as a Mental Health Tech. Lead or Senior Tech experience preferred.
Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Two (2) years of collegiate coursework to include general psychology, interpersonal communication, abnormal psychology, and/or human growth and development preferred.
Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a busy environment and take appropriate action when needed.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS).
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred. Handle with Care Certification or CPI within 90 days of hire.
