Join our growing Psychological Services team as a Program Therapist II. We have added two newly created opportunities for Master's level clinicians as a part of our continuum of care for mental health services. Positions are hybrid, with one primarily based in St. Paul, and one primarily based in Minneapolis. Work schedule includes one evening shift (12 PM - 8 PM), and every other Saturday; both of which are virtual.
Half of your time will be dedicated toward a "bridging" clinic where you will see patients for brief therapy as a bridge once they have stepped down from our Partial Hospital Program PHP or Inpatient treatment programs, while waiting for an established therapist.
The other half will be providing longer term outpatient therapy with referrals from our Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) team, as well as from the PHP or Inpatient programs. This role requires frequent collaboration with the IBH providers and with Inpatient and PHP providers.
Department Overview
The Psychological Services department provides services on both the Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses. Specific services include individual and family therapy, psychological assessment, neuropsychological assessment, and inpatient consultation and liaison. We also have pediatric psychologists embedded in a number of specialty clinics. Annually, we care for over 2,200 children with a primary reason for a visit related mental health concern in our two emergency departments, and complete 23,000+ outpatient visits in our behavioral health clinics.
Experience Preferred: à One year as a program therapist or similar experience providing counseling in a health care or related pediatric setting.
Education Required: à Master's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or clinical counseling is required à License/Certification/Registration: Licensed in the State of Minnesota (LICSW, LMFT, LPCC) required à BLS required
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: *Strong clinical skills with the ability to exercise independent judgement and work autonomously. *Ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced clinic or hospital environment. *Willingness to provide clinical supervision. *Exhibits a high degree of professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively. *Ability to assess and provide intervention services to children and adolescents in acute crisis / experiencing suicidal ideation. *Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
