Job Summary
AHA Instructor jobs entail creativity and the ability to follow standard AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)/PALS (Pediatric Advanced Lifer Support)/BLS (Basic Life Support) curriculum. The instructor should have practical experience in performing the skills taught and the ability to communicate the skills to students in a clear and precise manner.
Minimum Job Qualifications
Licensure or other certifications: Graduate from an accredited program in your designated certification as an E.M.T, Paramedic, R.N., Respiratory Therapist, Physician Assistant, M.D., or D.O American Heart Association ACLS/BLS Instructor in good standing (in one or all courses) and affiliated with a current Training Center.
Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or GED. Instructor in one or more: BLS, PALS, ACLS.
Minimum Experience: Instructors will have at least 1 year of experience in teaching.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
Instructing classes in both didactic and practical simulation environments per AHA guidelines.
Leading and instructing the practical portion of classes in a practical simulation environment.
Provide testing and evaluation per AHA standards for both written and practical testing.
Fill out all course and post course paperwork per AHA and NGHS Training center standards.
