Overview
St. Luke's Health System in Twin Falls, Idaho is seeking an Exercise Physiologist or Physical Therapist to join our Lifestyle Medicine/Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab team.
Schedule: 7:30AM -4PM, Monday-Friday
Position Summary
Prepares and conducts routine exercise tests and exercise programs. Trains and demonstrates proper exercise techniques and equipment use. Works with low, moderate and high risk patients within the inpatient (phase I), outpatient monitored (phase II) and outpatient maintenance (phase III) setting
Responsibilities
- Under direct supervision, assess patients needs, risk areas, ability to perform the physical activity and follow instructions. Perform graded exercise tests. Perform exercise/mobility prescription.
- Under direct supervision, responsible for training and demonstrating appropriate exercise techniques and equipment usage. Monitor electrocardiogram (ECG), blood pressure, oxygen saturation and observe patients for both appropriate and inappropriate responses to physical activity, during and following the activity. Advance exercise prescription as appropriate utilizing strength training and cardiovascular training.
- Provide complex and comprehensive case management to patient load. Documents patient's progress to supervising physicians.
- Provide lifestyle/risk factor modification education. Discuss follow-up care with patient and caregivers.
- Provide feedback to senior staff on individual patient performance during the exercise session to assist in documentation and exercise progression.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or related field.
- Experience: 0 years experience
- Licenses/Certifications: Current CPR/first responder certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: Cardiac Rehabiliation Experience
