In partnership with CareerPhysician, the Department of Pediatrics at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital (UH/RBC), an affiliate of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine (CWRU), is conducting anational search to identify a board certified/board eligible Child Abuse Pediatrician to serve as the Medical Director of the Child Advocacy and Protection Program.
Candidates with experience in all aspects of child maltreatment and neglect, including physical and sexual abuse, neglect, and medical child abuse are welcomed at any academic rank with opportunities to support a clinician, educator, as well as those seeking resources to launch/bolster their research career.

The Medical Director of Child Advocacy and Protection will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with multiple organizations and be part of the establishment of one of Cuyahoga County’s greatest assets to the community, namely the Canopy Child Advocacy Center.
In December 2022, Cuyahoga County Health and Human Services awarded the Canopy Child Advocacy Center (www.canopycac.org) $5.8 million dollars over 3-years to develop a child protection team in Cuyahoga County.
