The role you’ll contribute:
The Respiratory Therapist provides direct respiratory care to patients in all areas of the clinic. Is knowledgeable in providing and evaluating the routine modes of respiratory care. Responsible for the effective and optimal administration of modalities based upon assessment and evaluation. Provides recommendations and/or changes to care based on patient’s current status.

Ability to educate patients on pulmonary topics including respiratory medications, nebulizers, non-invasive ventilation, home secretion clearance vests, home oxygen, CPAP/BIPAP use and troubleshooting, and respiratory disease processes.
Enter orders for and perform chest x-rays as needed.
Perform respiratory care procedures according to physician orders, department policy/procedure, and patient care plan; including pulmonary function tests, six-minute walk tests, and spirometry.
Ability to educate patients on pulmonary topics including respiratory medications, nebulizers, non-invasive ventilation, home secretion clearance vests, home oxygen, CPAP/BIPAP use and troubleshooting, and respiratory disease processes.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Associate’s Degree or Graduate of a Technical School
Up to 1 Year of Experience
Kansas Respiratory Therapist License
BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association
