SAGE Mental Wellness Center, a sex positive, all-inclusive, LGBTQ+ affirming, mental health group practice. We are based in Columbus, GA and have an in-person office location in Columbus, but primarily operate as a video therapy only practice. This position is perfect for anyone who is interested in private practice but anxious about leaving the security of their current position so you want to build up a caseload gradually, you just want to pick up a few client's for added income, you only currently accept private pay but have a few clients you would like to see who want or need to use insurance, you are interested in providing sex therapy or learning about sex therapy, or you are seeking a position as an associate professional counselor and want to earn hours toward your independent license. All employees of SAGE Mental Wellness Center must agree to accept all health insurance plans we are in-network with.

Independently licensed staff members are can opt to be either 1099 or W2 employees, LAPC employees must be W2 employees. Employees are paid every Friday for all hours completed during the prior week so there is minimal delay between providing the service and receiving payment. “Completed hours” for clients using health insurance will not be counted until the employee completes, signs, and locks the progress note so that the claim can be billed to the client’s insurance. All employees are potentially eligible for health insurance after 30 days of employment. 

Must have a masters degree in counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy 

About SAGE Mental Wellness Center

SAGE Mental Wellness Center is a small therapy group which was created to provide a safe space for all clients but especially those clients who may not be a good fit for other therapy practices or those who have had negative therapy experiences in the past due to their gender expression, sexual orientation, or relationship styles. We are hoping to grow as a group practice that provides a safe space for all therapists as well. We are hoping to find therapists who have different skill sets and who work with different issues or populations. In short we want to become a well rounded group of professionals who can combine their experiences and skills and where all of us will be learning from each other.
