Collaborates with other Clinical Associates to meet individual needs using communication and available resources to promote quality, cost effective care
Responsibilities:
? The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant reports directly to the department manager and/or his/her designee with clinical supervision provided by a licensed occupational therapist ? Responsible for utilization and supervision of volunteers, students, and support staff relating to the provision of occupational therapy services ? The occupational therapist is responsible for interpretation/implementation of physician orders, provision of safe care to customers, protection of confidential information, professional communication, economic use of time/resources, and creation of a positive work/therapy environment ? Knowledgeable of the principles and practice of occupational therapy ? Perform the technical skills of the certified occupational therapy assistant and be competent to operate the equipment utilized in his/her professional area ? Ability to write and speak in a professional and intelligent manner and must demonstrate supervision/management skills ? Willing to assume additional responsibilities as requested
