Social Worker
The incumbent in this position functions as the case manager for the Birmingham VAMC's Housing and Urban Development VA Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) program. The HUD - VASH program falls with the health care for Homeless Veterans (HCHV) program of Mental Health Service . The incumbent is responsible for coordination of case management services for veterans receiving housing provided through HUD Section 8 housing vouchers. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
