Join Children's Minnesota, the 7th largest pediatric health system in North America, in vibrant Minneapolis-St. Paul! We are seeking a part time Pediatric Clinical Geneticist with training and/or experience in Biochemical Genetics to join our dynamic genetics program. Be part of our expanding team of four geneticists, (three of whom are biochemical geneticists), along with a team of nurses and genetic counselors. Collaborate with our multi-disciplinary teams including dedicated specialists in Neonatology, Immunology, Hematology/Oncology, Cardiology, Otolaryngology, Neuroscience and Critical Care.
The Children's Minnesota Genetics Program is one of the largest in the region, providing more than 2,000 patient visits and consultations per year to children and teens from the Upper Midwest. We have the only genetics program in Minnesota with a focus on diagnosis and clinical care of pediatric patients and childhood conditions. We also provide genetic counseling and genetic testing to adult relatives. Genetics providers have the opportunity to participate in several new healthcare initiatives, including delivery of care via Telemedicine, Genomics Medicine Clinic, and Pharmacogenetic consultations.
Board-eligible/certified in Clinical Genetics by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics.
Clinical experience or board certification/eligibility in medical or clinical biochemical genetics is preferred, as successful applicants should be comfortable caring for patients with inborn errors of metabolism as well as general genetic diagnoses.
Current Minnesota medical license or the ability to obtain one
Ability to be credentialed with several area hospitals that the Genetics service provides care for.
