Position Title: Practice Faculty (Assistant/Associate) Professor in Human Development Counseling
The interdisciplinary Department of Human and Organizational Development (HOD) is seeking applicants for a non-tenure line Practice Faculty position (at the Assistant or Associate rank) in human development counseling. Candidates must have a doctorate in counselor education or a closely related discipline. Preference will be given to candidates who graduated from or are eligible to teach in a CACREP-accredited counseling program as a core faculty member, and with a clinical mental health counseling (CMHC) focus. Candidates must have a research program, excellent teaching credentials, clinical mental health counseling skills and the ability to contribute to the department’s undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs. Candidates with interests and experiences in clinical and group supervision, working in culturally diverse settings, willingness to teach a range of core and specialty courses customized to the needs of clinical mental health counseling students, excellent communication skills, and ability to build community site placement partnerships is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to multicultural counseling competencies as evidenced in clinical work, supervision, and teaching. This faculty position provides a unique opportunity to join a highly productive, diverse, and interdisciplinary faculty.
