Description
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated mental health therapist to join our growing private practice. We are a collaborative and supportive team dedicated to providing high-quality care to children, adolescents, adults, and families.
This position is ideal for a clinician who values flexibility, professional growth, and a supportive practice environment while maintaining autonomy in their clinical work.
We are seeking a candidate who:
- Is independently licensed or license-eligible in New York State
- Demonstrates strong clinical judgment and ethical practice
- Values collaboration and ongoing learning
- Is organized, reliable, and self-motivated
- Enjoys working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families
- Has specialty training or experience in areas such as anxiety, trauma, neurodiversity, EMDR, DBT, IFS ERP, play therapy, or related evidence-based approaches
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs and treatment plans.
- Provide therapy sessions using evidenced based approaches while maintaining a client-centered vision
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute mental health emergencies effectively and ensure client safety.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical documentation standards while ensuring timely updates in medical records.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive patient care.

Requirements
- Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure or certification as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor or fully credentialed Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent.
- Proven experience and advanced training, specialty certifications, and demonstrates clinical expertise
- Demonstrates expertise in crisis management, crisis intervention techniques, and behavior management strategies.
- Telehealth experience is desirable; ability to provide remote therapy sessions effectively using secure platforms.
- Knowledge of clinical ethical guidelines and HIPAA compliance standards for patient confidentiality and medical documentation.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations
